In order to provide you with the most comprehensive ultrasound exam, we ask that you follow all of the instructions listed below:

• Please silence your cell phone during the ultrasound procedure.
• Please bring another adult with you to accompany any small children during the ultrasound procedure.
• An ultrasound examination is a painless procedure in which high frequency sound waves are used to visualize the pelvic organs. By using ultrasound, information is obtained about pelvic anatomy.

Presently there is no known hazard from ultrasound. However, this is a relatively new field and additional long term studies may be required. Please review the following instructions:

• Infertility Patients please empty your bladder prior to your appointment.
• Gynecological Patients please empty your bladder prior to your appointment.

Our office will be glad to file your ultrasound fee with your insurance company. If you have no insurance or your insurance company does not cover this procedure (in full or in part), you are responsible for the bill. If you have any questions regarding your coverage or payment, please ask our staff for assistance.
